Fourth week using ClassPass!! I’m in love!!

Another successful week using ClassPass. Tried out some new studios this week and shared my Showerpill love! If you are in the Las Vegas area I would love some company! Also, if you know a great studio I should try comment below!

Took my first Pilates reformer class! I have been nervous about trying this type of workout for some time now. I’m not sure why I was so scared but now that I’ve tried this class I’m a believer! This was a beginner class and I loved it! It’s hard to explain how to use the reformer but if you aren’t too flexible like myself this class was perfect. Easy on the joints and a lot easier than a standard Pilates class. I was able to do the entire workout without stopping, felt good. The instructor was so nice! Definitely recommend this studio!

My next class was at Xcycle. Xcycle is a high end cycling studio located at Boca Park. If you love a good spin studio this is the place to go! When you arrive your bike will have a towel on it, the lockers don’t need a lock so you can securely put away your belonging and at the end of class they give you a cold towel scented with eucalyptus. This is a fast paced class, great music and the room is dark with awesome backlights!

You can bring your own bike shoes or rent shoes at the studio.

Next class for the week was my first crossfit class!! Wow talk about tough workout!!! The instructor Omar was wonderful! Very patient and helped me during the entire class. I don’t use weights much to workout so this was a new experience for me. They kept the weight low for me but gradually added more weight as the class went on. If you are looking for a great full body workout this is the class for you! I see how everyone gets hooked!

This was my second class at Shine Alternative Fitness. This is a great studio that offers a variety of unique classes that are hard to find.  The class we took was intro to aerial fitness. I didn’t know what to expect but was so happy my friend Kaye was able to join me! We used silk and the hoop for this class. The teacher was great! We started with a warmup and went into the beginning stages of using these mediums. I was scared to do some poses, mostly upside down hanging on the hoop, but I think I could get comfortable! We had a blast! Thanks for a new experience!

Since I missed two classes last week I took four this week to start making up! Last week was a week of surprises! First, I got laid off from my job! Sad! So on top of finding new interesting places to workout I started filling out applications for a new job. I also had my first interview which was nice.  I’m definetly a little rusty but I’m excited to see what I can find. On top of finding a new job I was also going through some health issues. I went to a few doctors, had some tests ran and Saturday received a call from my doctor that everything looks normal. Fingers crossed that this event won’t happen again!

Excited to see what next week will have in store for me! Already have my second interview scheduled for Tuesday! Wish me luck!
